Had whatever god you believe in elected to build a car at the dawn of time instead of people, this is what he would have produced. The Cayman GT4 is the best car I have ever driven, and I am extremely happy to share this experience with you.

The 3.8L Flat Six roars near the top of the rev range - leaving nothing to be desired. The serene noise is a symphony for your ears, even on a stock exhaust which my two driving experiences with this car has been. The perfect amount of power to enjoy on the street & the track. See? Multiple exotic and sports car manufacturers have it all wrong. More horsepower, more horsepower, MOAR HORSEPOWER seems to be the trick to making a great car in their eyes.

Wrong! The 385 horsepowers that this lovely 3.8 sings through are all there, and they are all perfect. Flat foot that throttle, go ahead. No jail time for you! The perfect gearing from the 6 speed manual box allows for great downshifts, incredible rev matching/heel toe fun, and the perfect push of power when needed. Singing the song of our people every step of the way.

Size - this is an important part to the formula too. As the 911 has sized itself out of that small sports car it once was, the Cayman has managed to fill that void. Coming in sub 3000lbs - it is light for a modern car, and you feel it. The car is as close to driving a gecko as you can get. Darting in every which direction your eye balls go. It hardly requires steering input, you can arguably drive this car with your mind. The steering feel should be illegal, the perfect combonation of direct control, ease of use at slow speeds, and steering FEEL. This is one of the few cars that makes you feel as though you are one with the car. The CCB's that were equipped on both

of the cars I drove were exceptionally grabby, although I do believe on my perfect car I would opt for the steel brakes - the CCB's are costly if and when you do need to replace them, and noisy because racecar. In my use case, I would daily this car, so I would want steels.

Onto the most obvious aspect, exterior design, the Cayman for the most part has always been a more understated car, with even the 987 Cayman R not standing out too far from the pack. The GT4 changed that, in my opinion for the better. The body style and stunning lines lend itself well to the "GT3" style treatment seen on this car. The large rear spoiler, gorgeous front bumper design, combined with the updated styling of the rockers and rear bumper really set this car a league above the standard car. The car has a presence when you arrive that rivals that of a list of supercars.

To miss touching on the interior of a Porsche, is a crime. Don't worry, they aren't taking me to jail yet. The interior in this car is that of a luxury F1 car (i'm exaggerating) but the nicities combined with the raw carbon backed bucket seats (which hurt cause I'm fat) are absolutely awesome!

Lastly, the shifter feel.... oh good LORD the shifter. I have never touched such a sweet, supple, lovely gear lever in my entire life. The notchy but confident gear shifts really know how to get your blood flowing, all in all, this is one of the best cars in the world in my humble opinion. Get out and drive one!
